Other Recommended Bets
Back Weather Front @ [5.2] in the 14:00 at Lingfield
Lay State of The Union @ [1.81] in the 14:30 at Lingfield

We start the day with a back in the 14:00 where Weather Front has been supported from [8.0] in to [5.2]. James Tate's two-year-old fared well enough on debut when fourth of 11 at Wolverhampton and although unable to build on that effort last time out at Newmarket, today's drop back down in class should be welcomed. On paper this is a wide open affair so it's interesting to see the majority of the money is for this gelding. That gamble could prove significant for one that looks open to improvement at a lower level, we're backing Weather Front to land the spoils at the third time of asking.

Straight to the next race, the 14:30, where our lay State of The Union has been a very unsteady favourite, easing from [1.56] all the way out to [1.81]. This one has recently joined Lee Carter's stable from David O'Meara's yard after finishing his campaign for the latter with three disappointing runs. This race looks an ideal opportunity to get back on track, but danger lies in two rivals. Firstly the consistent Diminutive and more noticeably Essaka, who has seen his price nearly halve this morning, despite showing similar form and carrying more weight. The drift on this favourite is a worry so at a short price we're happy to take this one on.

We head to the 15:00 for our final back where Potternello has been the subject of a gamble, moving from a high of [17.0] In to [8.6]. Mick Channon's three-year-old is making his polytrack debut today after two winning starts on the turf this season. One of those victories come over today's trip of 6f and jockey Charles Bishop, who has a respectable 17% strike rate when teaming up with the trainer here at Lingfield, takes over the riding responsibilities. If the horse takes to the surface this gamble should prove successful, and he still looks a decent price to get back in to the winners' enclosure.
