Follow The Money: Back Morello Royale to rule over rivals at Warwick

Two picks from Warwick for FTM today
Two picks from Warwick for FTM today

Today's Follow The Money comes from the meetings at Fakenham and Warwick...

Recommended Bets

Lay Shinooki at 2.915/8 in the 14:30 at Fakenham

Back The Tourard Man at 5.49/2 in the 14:50 at Warwick

Back Morello Royale at 3.55 in the 15:20 at Warwick

Starting with our lay selection in the 14:30 at Fakenham, where Shinooki has drifted from a low of 2.447/5 to 2.915/8. While this eight-year-old has been very progressive recently, gaining back-to-back wide margin victories at this track, and looks to be well in under his penalty, he is taking on dangerous rivals. Full Ov Beans' record at Fakenham reads 1-2-1-1-U-1-U-1-1 while the Jamie Snowden-trained Alanjou,, in first time blinkers, has been very well backed this morning. We are happy to keep this pair on side with a lay bet on Shinooki at 2.915/8.

Our first back selection runs in the 14:50 3m2f Handicap Hurdle at Warwick. The Tourard Man, a very unexposed but consistent nine-year-old from the Alan King stable has been backed in from 6.411/2 to around the 5.49/2 mark. In all of his six runs under rules our selection has yet to finish outside the first three, and a second place finish last time out in a decent Handicap at Ascot should set up for a good run again today. He went up 6lbs for that but, with two wins previously on soft ground in his point-to-point days, today's going really should suit. He is stepping up slightly in trip but we foresee no problems with that and a back bet is advised.

Staying at Warwick and the 15:20 where Morello Royale has seen strong support from a high of 5.04/1 in to 3.55. The five-year-old hails from the bang in-form Colin Tizzard stable - six winners in the last 12 days - and is receiving a stone from today's rival Abigail Lynch, who handed the mare a 5.75 length beating last time out, in receipt of 3lbs from our selection. Morello Royale has been running very consistently, without ever getting her head in front, and most of the mares that have beaten her are all very progressive, so no shame in any of her defeats this season. With the market confidence and an in-form stable, a back bet is the call.
