Today's movers come from the meetings at Wincanton and Lingfield.
" Tee It Up Tommo has been noticeably backed in to 4.47/2 from a high of 15.014/1 for the 15:20 1m Handicap at Lingfield. This six-year-old has notched up six wins so far in his career with four of those being over today's course and distance, and the most recent was in a claimer back in July 2014."
The day begins at Wincanton with our first positive and the second runner of the day for trainer Sheena West, whose four entries today are all the subjects of gambles. In the 13:50 2m4f Handicap Hurdle, Landscape has moved markedly from 14.5 in to 6.05/1. This seven-year-old by Lando has won three races so far from 21 starts, two of those being over hurdles with ease in the ground. Landscape is now returning from 246 days off and running for a new yard after leaving Venetia Williams back in the spring. The market suggests that this will be the second of West's runners to win today.
Sticking with the big movers and another of West's runners, we head to Lingfield for the 15:20 1m Handicap where Tee It Up Tommo has been noticeably backed in to 4.47/2 from a high of 15.014/1. This six-year-old has notched up six wins so far in his career with four of those being over today's course and distance, and the most recent was in a claimer back in July 2014. Since then this gelding by Clodovil has been out of form and in his three runs for this yard, since moving in June, he hasn't managed better than sixth place. However, this has resulted in a drop in the handicap, and with the gamble in place it's hard to ignore Tee It Up Tommo at tempting odds of 4.47/2.
Returning to Wincanton for our negative, where Present Man has drifted out to 3.7511/4 from a low of 2.6213/8 in the 15:30 2m5f Novice Hurdle. Paul Nicholls' gelding has had three bumper starts, winning the second one at 9/4, and has had one run over hurdles on his first start this season where he finished second over today's C&D last month. However, this five-year-old by Presenting was a beaten favourite that day at 4/6 by eight lengths, and today's race sees what looks like tougher opposition in the shape of the consistent Final Nudge and five time point to point winner Whataknight, giving enough reasons to take on Present Man at 3.7511/4.
