The markets have been very lively throughout Wednesday morning, and here the Follow The Money team highlight two horses to back and one to lay based on where the cash has been going...
We start the day with a back and Fullon Clarets has been well supported in the 15:10 at Newmarket. The 7.26/1 has been snapped up and the selection is now trading as the favourite at 4.77/2. Richard Fahey's 3yo has been knocking on the door in his last three outings after getting off the mark over 6f at Lingfield back in April. Third last time out at Haydock over today's distance he should be capable of building on that run and getting back in to the winners enclosure in this tough looking handicap.
Our lay runs in the 16:05 at Nottingham and it is the Michael Dods-trained Aprovado who has been on the drift, moving from 2.962/1 out to 3.45. This 3yo is seeking a hat trick of wins at the course but must defy the handicappers penalty of another 6lb rise in the weights and also a step up in class. Aprovado is now 12lb worse off from his first success and could struggle in this more competitive field. The preference is for Patrick, who was a course and distance winner in this class last time out and should prove to be a live contender again. See The Storm also looks to be on the up and the red hot Frankie Dettori is a notable jockey booking. All this considered a lay is the call.
We head back over to Newmarket for our final back, Great Park for Martyn Meade, who has been backed from 6.25/1 in to a steady 4.1 in the 16:55. Making his seasonal reappearance at Haydock last time out, he finished strongly to take third. The favourite Cilento is up another 8lb for a win last time out at Ascot and should Great Park come on from that eye-catching last run, this colt should be in contention to notch up another win for a yard who have been in superb form for some time.
