It's the second and final day of the Newmarket Craven Meeting and the Follow The Money team have three selections, two to back and one to lay, from the headquarters of flat racing...
Our first positive of the day is Rocky Rider in the 14:55 1m2f Stakes at Newmarket. From an early 5.69/2 the Andrew Balding-trained Derby entry can be backed currently at 4.3100/30. A winner of his last two starts including an impressive win four weeks ago over today's distance. The likely danger looks like Secret Brief but stepping up in distance for the first time we are happy that Rocky Rider will make it a hat-trick of wins today.
Our second back of the day comes in the following race, the 15:30 6f Group 3 from Newmarket. Dane O'Neill rides Music Master which has been well supported from 3.33 into 2.8815/8. This 5yo has won first time out in past two seasons and won a Group 3 last July at Newbury, he also has ran well and was in the frame in two Group 1 races last season. The ground will suit, so therefore we are looking for a positive run today.
Finally our lay of the day in the 16:40 1m1f Group 3 at Newmarket. French Navy has been on the drift all morning and is out to 3.953/1 after opening at 3.02/1. There has been significant support for the Peter Chapple-Hyam trained Arod who has ran second in the Dante and fourth in the Derby as a three-year-old. French Navy finished second in this last year and we think he will find one too good again today.
