Follow The Money: Punters say 'non' to French at Plumpton

It's another busy day of racing in the UK - will you be following the FTM selections?

Today's Follow the Money column offers bets from Plumpton and Musselburgh.

"All of this horses' best work has been over the 2 mile trip and with no obstacles to jump today Handiwork can add another win to his resume."

Back Handiwork @ 3.613/5 in the 15:25 at Musselburgh

We start the day at Plumpton with today's negative where the Neil Mulholland-trained June French has been on the slide, moving from 3.259/4 out to 4.1 in betting on the 2m4f Handicap Chase at 14:45. She has had 27 races under rules and never won but this seven-year-old mare has been placed consistently despite not getting her head in front. She looks to be facing another tough task today with the strong favourite Star Presenter continuing to receive strong support. We are confident that June French may have to yet again settle for a place.

Over to Musselburgh for our first back where Handiwork bids for his second win on the flat with the 15:25 2m Handicap his target. Steve Golling's gelding has strengthened from 4.47/2 into a solid 3.613/5 this morning, despite having not been seen on the flat for 159 days. His last outing on the track was a very good second at Haydock over hurdles where he was just touched off by the rallying Purple N Gold. All of this horses' best work has been over the 2 mile trip and with no obstacles to jump today Handiwork can add another win to his resume.

Back to Plumpton now for the 16:50 3m2f Novices chase where our second back Dancing Dik has seen steady support all morning, backed in from 9.08/1 to 5.24/1. Paul Henderson's 10-year-old has been plummeting down the weights having not registered a win for a staggering five years! His latest run was in a 2m6f Handicap Chase at Fontwell where he could only manage a fifth-placed effort, but he showed some signs of his best ability that day under new tactics. Although this horse has never won a chase before over this longer trip, this new front-running approach may do the trick and with the experienced Tom O'Brien on board, we are hoping he may be able to guide this horse to his first career success over the larger obstacles.
