The markets have been reviewed, and today's three Follow The Money selections come from the meetings at Southwell, Thurles, and Wincanton...
We start at Southwell in the 12:55, where there has been a real gamble on Alfolk, 6.05/1 into 2.789/5. The three-year-old son of Invincible Spirt sold for 11,000 Guineas back in August and connections are looking for their return in this very average mile maiden having had a quiet a quiet introduction on his race course debut. With David Simcock's stable going nicely for this time of the year it all adds up for Alfolk.
We visit Thurles for our lay, in the 12:40 maiden hurdle, the Willie Mullins and Paul Townend combo are on a fancy looking French import for the powerful Highclere Racing Syndicate, however Caro Des Flos has taken a walk in the market to 6.86/1 from 4.3100/30. The half brother of high class Balko Des Flos is looking to kick off the Mullins and Highclere partnership in style but we think otherwise and at 1.51/2 to place lay we feel this is the market to profit in.
Lastly we move to Wincanton for the 15:20 3m3f Handicap Chase where Cyclop, for the David Dennis stable, has been nicely back to get the win. The son of Kings Theatre has the talented five pound claiming jockey Ciaran Gethings on board and following market support from 18.017/1 into 11.010/1 we think it would be short sighted not to play this selection as an each-way bet.
Back Alfolk @ [2.78 ] in the 12:55 Southwell
Lay Caro Des Flos @ 1.51/2 for a place in the 12:40 Thurles
Back Cyclop Each Way @ 11.010/1 in the 15:20 Wincanton
