The markets have been reviewed and today's three Follow The Money selections come from the meetings at Ascot, Market Rasen, and Ffos Las...
We start at Market Rasen for today's negative in the 2m1f Novice Chase at 15:15. Neil Mulholland saddles Fox Norton that has been on the drift this morning from 2.56/4 out to 3.45. Although an easy winner on his chase debut at Huntingdon earlier in the year he receives a penalty for this and will now be giving a stone to the Philip Hobbs trained, Richard Johnson ridden, Golden Doyen who has received significant market support. There are some others in the race who also hold respectable chances including the Skelton teams, Pain Au Chocolat. There is enough doubt as to whether Fox Norton can improve enough from his last run to give weight all round so we are happy to take him on today.
In Ascot's last race, the 1m Handicap at 15:45 the support is for Musaddas who runs in Godolphin blue. In the Cambridgeshire he was drawn badly and never got into his stride although he stayed on well. He'll be better suited by today's track and is drawn low which was significantly positive last year. Edward Greatrex is taking 5lb off so we recommending a decent price back at 9.28/1 from a high of 16.015/1 to finish what will hopefully be a great days racing at Ascot.
Finally over to Ffos Las for their 3m Handicap Hurdle at 15:50. The market seems to think that Rebecca Curtis may have got Minella On Line back in good shape for this race as he has been strongly supported from 8.27/1 in to 5.59/2. Looking at his form and seeing that he has pulled up on his last five starts might turn you away but he has dropped to a good mark and if he comes back refreshed from a 205 - day summer break, as the market suggests he might then we are happy to follow the money and recommend a back today.
Lay Fox Norton @ 3.45 in the 15:15 Market Rasen
Back Musaddas @ 9.28/1 in the 15:45 Ascot
Back Minella On Line @ 5.59/2 in the 15:50 Ffos Las
