It's a Punchestown Festival special for Follow The Money today, with a back, a lay and an each-way recommendation from the Friday card...
We start with an each-way selection in the 2m5f Handicap Chase at 16:55, where Bonny Kate has been backed today from 7.64 in to 6.25/1. The selection pulled up on her last start in the Irish Grand National, but market seems to be ignoring this last run and focusing on her previous three wins from six runs over fences. The six-year-old has also won here before, so if she's back to her best at this shorter trip, she should challenge for a place at least.
Our lay comes from a fascinating Champion Hurdle over two miles at 17:30, where the Nicky Henderson trained My Tent Or Yours has drifted from 2.789/5 out to 3.259/4. Rival Vroum Vroum Mag, who is unbeaten in her last nine starts for Willie Mullins and gets a 7lb allowance for taking on the boys, has been strengthening in the market all morning, while Identity Thief is also a danger. It could be that this race may have come too soon for My Tent Or Yours after his recent tough races and we are happy to oppose.
Another filly taking on the boys is Jers Girl who runs in the 2m4f Grade 1 Novice Hurdle at 18:05 and has been backed into 2.89/5 from a high of 3.3512/5, She is in fine form, winning a Grade 1 at Fairyhouse in impressive style last month, and will be receiving 18lb from the older boys today This is clearly her best trip and we believe she will take some beating.
