We're off to the Craven meeting at Newmarket for two of today's Follow The Money selections, while the day's each-way selections runs at Kempton...
We start at Newmarket for our Lay selection in the 14:55. Salsabeel has been drifting all morning from 2.407/5 out to 3.002/1. This looks a very competitive stakes race even though there are only six runners. He is a Yarmouth maiden winner on debut and only narrowly denied at Doncaster but still showed a lot of inexperience and this looks a much harder race. Likely favourite will be Frankie Dettori on Via Egnatia and on pedigree and entries looks very smart and we think this could be the one to beat.
We move on to our each-way selection in the 15:05 at Kempton. Mango Cap has been well backed all morning from an opening showing of 11.0010/1 into 6.005/1. A hurdles winner in September and has made the frame in two of his last three starts since his switch to fences. With Cheekpieces refitted and his debut for his new yard and with the money down this selection will hopefully be good enough to reach the frame.
We finish proceedings with our back selection which in the 17:05 Newmarket. Vibrant Chords has been backed all morning from 6.806/1 into 4.507/2. This is a sustained market move suggesting on his first start in 200 days looks to be ready for the run. This drop back to five furlongs is sure to help and in the hands of up and coming star Harry Bentley this is the one to be on today.
