Today's Follow The Money comes from this afternoons cards at Newmarket and Chepstow...
Gravity Flow is our first back selection who takes aim in the 13:45 at Newmarket, having seen her odds shortened in from 4.57/2 to an available 3.953/1. The talented 3yo filly is going for the five timer after racking up four wins on the bounce, all of which have come over this afternoon's trip of 6f. Trainer William Haggas has a fine record in this race having won it four times from just seven runners in the past 10 years and Gravity Flow looks a solid entry to add another to that tally.
Heading over to the 15:50 at Chepstow, where Clan Des Obeaux is our negative, drifting out from 2.6813/8 to 2.8615/8. Last seen when sixth in the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham, this talented hurdler makes his chase debut this afternoon. While it's difficult to oppose him too much on form, the preference is for Flying Angel, who has had the benefit of having a run under his belt already this season. There's been a drift on a few of trainer Paul Nicholls' entries this afternoon at Chepstow, and the market trend suggests to stay away, we're happy to oblige. Lay is the call.
For our next back selection we head back to Newmarket for the annual renewal of the Cesarewitch (16:10), where Sea Of Heaven is the subject of support, moving in from 16.5 in to 12.011/1. Last seen at Chester where the trip of 1m5f was too sharp for this consistent sort, the step back up in trip looks a sensible move as this gelding does all his best work at trips of 2m plus. The strength of support can only be seen as a positive and Sea Of Heaven on form should hold genuine claims, and with four places on offer the each way bet still holds value.
