Today's Follow The Money comes from the meetings at Navan and Leicester.
We begin with our each-way bet which comes in the 13:15 at Navan, a 2m Handicap Hurdle race, where Dawerann has been attracting a bit of cash on his first run since leaving Michael Hourigan. The selection was a bit below form last time out, finishing ninth of 17 in a handicap hurdle (18/1) at Punchestown (22f, good to soft) seven days ago. But the stable is in good form and the shorter trip should see improvement. Each-way punters have backed it in from 12.011/1 to a respectable 10.09/1.
Our win selection comes in the 14:05 at Leicester, a 2m4f Novice Hurdle. The improving Saint Cajetan was well held in a Market Rasen bumper in May but was a completely different proposition when placed twice over hurdles last month. The slightly longer trip here and the presence of Richard Johnson in the saddle should bring enough improvement to land the spoils. Punters certainly think so, the selection has been backed from a high of 4.94/1 to a now 3.7511/4.
Finally our lay bet runs in the competitive 14:20 at Navan where we will take on favourite Noble Endeavor, who has drifted from 4.03/1 to 6.411/2. The selection was previously an 11 lengths fifth of seven to Snow Falcon in Lismullen Hurdle at this course (20f, good to soft) 14 days ago. Even though the yard has previously had a good record in this race we believe that the horse is not in the same calibre as previous winners. We recommend a lay in the place market at 2.747/4
Dawerann each-way @ 10.09/1 in the 13:15 at Navan
Back Saint Cajetan @ 3.7511/4 in the 14:05 at Leicester
Lay Noble Endeavor for a place @ 2.747/4 in the 14:20 at Navan
