The markets have been reviewed, and today's three Follow The Money selections come from the meetings at Lingfield, Musselburgh, and Towcester...
Our lay comes in the 14:15 at Musselburgh, where the David Pipe trained Impulsive American has drifted all the way from 1.251/4 out to 1.774/5. The four-year-old gelding has yet to win over hurdles from seven attempts and we expect him to find at least one too good for him again today, with Some Are Lucky and Shanroe Street both dangerous opponents. The selection did run a respectable third on this track earlier in the month, beaten 17 lengths in a Class 2 hurdle, but it is possible that effort did flatter him while he is yet to tackle today's distance (19 furlongs).
We move to Towcester for our each-way bet of the day in the 14.25 race, where Kelsey has been backed in from 13.50 in to 9.08/1. This Tom Lacey chestnut gelding is lightly raced (today will be only his fifth race under rules) and he ran well enough in a Chepstow novice hurdle to suggest he has the ability to feature in the business end of a race. The selection should find today's soft going and shorter trip more to his liking, while booking of Richard Johnson is also significant, so we're expecting him to go close.
Finally to the 15:45 at Lingfield, where the claims of Arch Villain are difficult to ignore after being backed in from 3.412/5 to 2.6413/8. The Amanda Perrett-trained seven year-old loves this track and demonstrated his well-being when overcoming a long absence (over 20 months) last time out here. The distance for that race was 12 furlongs but today's two miles will hold no fears - he has won twice at this trip - and with his regular pilot, Jim Crowley, in the plate, we confidently recommend a win bet.
