The markets have been reviewed, and today's three Follow The Money selections come from the meetings at Musselburgh, Haydock, and Carlisle...
We kick things off with our win bet which is Lat Hawill in the 13:50 at Musselburgh who has been well backed from 11.521/2 into 7.413/2. The six-year-old arrives on a long winless run but races of his lowest mark to date. He has had the benefit of a recent run having finished mid division at Doncaster two weeks ago dropped two pounds for that effort he appears to have a decent chance today for the Keith Dalgeish stable in this completive Handicap.
Our Each Way bet is Cernunnos in the 14:05 at Haydock who has been well supported from 8.23 into 5.95/1. The JP Mcmanus gelding appears after a long break which maybe significant in his revival. The return to better ground will suit and with his mark tumbling over the past few months he looks to have every chance today. His jockey Barry Geraghty has chosen to ride him over Easy Street which speaks volumes so expect a bold showing from the Tom George trained seven year old today.
Our lay bet is Lord Ballim in the 15:25 at Carlisle which has drifted from 2.01/1 out to 2.285/4. A surprise return to fences today after back to back wins over hurdles his jumping will be put to the test considering his poor record over the larger obstacles. A small but select field with only five runners going to posts but each with a chance considering they are all trading at single figures today's task looks tough. Market rival Baileys Concerto will appreciate the drop in class and should be able to serve it up to the short priced jolly.
