Today's Follow The Money selections run at Newcastle, Cartmel and Epsom.

"Shahbar's trainer Marco Botti is on a poor run of form with no winner in 21 days..."

Lay Shahbar @ 3.412/5 in the 14:25 at Newcastle
Back Danimix @ 4.216/5 in the 16:00 at Cartmel
Back English Summer @ 2.89/5 in the 16:15 at Epsom

We travel to Newcastle for our first selection of the day in the 14:25. The current favourite Shahbar has been on the drift this morning, moving from 3.002/1 out to 3.4012/5. Shahbar, who won on his last outing at Sandown by only half a length in a low grade maiden, may be in for a stiffer test today against a seemingly stronger field, including the Godolphin horse Simple Attack who has been backed in this morning. Sageed bin Suroor doesn't send many two-year-olds to Newcastle and with a 3-9 record at the track it would be smart to assume Simple Attack could have a strong chance of adding to that tally today. Shahbar's trainer Marco Botti is on a poor run of form with no winner in 21 days and it all adds up to a lay for us today.

It's over to Cartmel next for the 16:00 3m1f Hcap Chs where Danimix has been heavily backed, going from 11.521/2 into 4.216/5. The current favourite Dreamsoftheatre is 10lb higher here than on his last win, and Danimix appears a well handicapped horse after a much needed break to freshen up (he won after an eight month absence in 2012). Danimix's first run back under trainer Peter Bowen also bodes well, the pair last combining for a strong second place finish off the same mark.

Our final bet can be found at Epsom in the form of English Summer in the 16:15 1m4f Hcap, after being backed in from 4.3100/30 to 2.89/5, a move that makes him the strong favourite to win this race today. He is currently in good form after a respectable third last time out at Newmarket and a successful trip at Epsom over the same distance before that. In a race with little competition it would seem that the class of English Summer should shine through and allow him to return to winning ways under the ride of Patrick Mullins in conditions where he can excel.
