The markets have been reviewed, and today's three Follow The Money selections come from the meetings at Fakenham, Lingfield, and Southwell...
For our lay bet we look to the 14:05 Fakenham which is 2m handicap hurdle for novices. We're taking on the John Flint-trained Khismet who has been weak on the exchange all morning drifting from a low of 2.568/5 out to her current price of 3.613/5. The selection was impressive on her handicap debut a couple of weeks ago however we feel the 10lb rise that she has to shoulder today may see her fall short against a few more unexposed rivals. We recommend laying Khismet at 3.613/5.
We feel there is each-way value to be found in the 14:55 1m2f handicap on the all-weather at Lingfield. The horse in question is the George Baker-ridden Mark Johnston-trained Beardwood who produced a career best performance last time at Redcar when winning a competitive handicap over today's distance. Only raised 3lbs for that win we feel he can be competitive again off today's mark and recommend backing him each-way at his current trading price of 5.69/2.
Our back bet comes in the bumper at Southwell which is due to post at 15:45. Our selection here is the Charlie Longsden-trained Searching For Gold who fetched £80,000 at the sales after it won a point-to-point in Ireland at the second time of asking. The stable has a fine record of producing first time out bumper winners and there appears to be plenty of confidence behind today's selection having being backed from a high of 5.39/2 into its current price of 3.39/4.
