Today's Follow The Money focuses solely on the meeting at Lingfield
"First time out for William Haggas, the market vibes for Bargain Buy are very worrying. Weak in the market all morning the drift shows no signs of slowing down, and perhaps the promise she shows on paper is not backed up on the track."
We start off in the 14:40 where Foyleside View has been backed from 6.611/2 in to 5.14/1. Despite being slightly disappointing on his last appearance he shaped with real promise the time before, only being touched off a short head at Wolverhampton. He should get more of a pace today which will show his hold up tactics in a better light. Despite only having won once he looks on a workable mark and his consistency can pay off today with a win.
Next up we have today's lay selection. In the 15:15 Bargain Buy has been on the drift from 2.588/5 out to 3.711/4. First time out for William Haggas, the market vibes for the filly are very worrying. Weak in the market all morning the drift shows no signs of slowing down, and perhaps the promise she shows on paper is not backed up on the track. Punters are siding with experience with Aldair and Auntie Barber receiving support against the early favourite and this looks a drift to note.
Finally we focus on the 15:50 for our each-way selection and Blackthorn Stick has seen a bit of interest in the market, opening at 14.5 he is now trading at 10.519/2. Just two pounds above his last winning mark he threatened a revival at Kempton three starts ago when a close fourth over seven furlongs. He drops back to that trip today and if he can break on terms for Liam Keniry, who partnered him to his latest success, then he should have every chance of settling in behind runners and picking them off from the back with plenty of pace looking likely. An each-way angle is advised with traffic often being a problem in Lingfield's home stretch...
