Today's Follow The Money comes from the Good Friday All Weather Championships card at Lingfield.
We kick off the day in the opener at 13:40. The Patrick Chamings trained Charles Molson is our each-way selection after being very well supported all morning from a high of 23.022/1 into its current price of 11.010/1. After being extremely impressive last time out at Chelmsford, where he didn't exactly get the run of the race and with the second and third that day going on to subsequently win next time out, this six-year-old may certainly prove to be ahead of the handicapper. In a competitive race this Monsieur Bond gelding may well prove to be the value bet at double figure prices.
Our win selection of the day comes in the 14:40 Fillies and Mares Stakes where the William Haggas trained Muffri'ha is a confident selection. Having landed a listed race at this venue back in October and finishing just a half-length third in a group one out in Meydan more recently, this Iffraaj mare looks to hold all the aces. Having been well supported from a price of 2.89/5, she is currently available at 2.47/5 and is expected to go in, especially now dropped in grade.
Our lay of the day runs in the three-year-old Conditions Stakes at 16:10. Second Thought, also trained by William Haggas, has shaped with plenty of promise on all four starts and won nicely over seven furlongs at the track last time out. However, it has been notably weak in the market this morning, drifting from a low of 2.47/5 out to its current price of 2.77/4. Added to that, is the fact he drops back to six furlongs. He seemed to be doing his best work at the finish over seven and, with a number of six furlong specialists in the field here, there is enough reason to oppose this jolly.
