Lay Baydar @ 1.784/5 in the 12:40 at Lingfield

Back Money Team @ 6.611/2 Each-Way in the 13:15 at Lingfield

Back Larteta @ 2.789/5 in the 14:10 at Fakenham

We start things off with today's negative in the 12:40 1m Maiden Stakes at Lingfield, where Baydar has drifted from a very skinny opening price of 1.528/15 to 1.784/5. This colt is from the Hugo Palmer yard and did show plenty of promise last time in a Maiden stakes at Haydock when missing the break and fishing well to claim second place. That was no doubt a good introduction but there are many more unexposed types in this field today. The most notable perhaps is Kalkrand, from the John Gosden yard, who was slowly into stride on his first start but made significant headway near the finish. With plenty of opposition likely, we feel we can get this short price favourite turned over with a low liability.

Staying at Lingfield we move on to the 13:15 6f Handicap where our each-way bet is Money Team after a move in from 10.09/1 to 6.611/2. The David Barron gelding has only ever won over five furlongs but was slightly outpaced over that trip last time out at Ayr. Looking back through his form he has put up some decent efforts here at Lingfield finding only one too good on a few occasions. Today could be the day he manages to claim his first win over the distance with his previous run showing such clear signs of promise and, with the money down, we are happy to follow the gamble.

We head over to Fakenham for the 14:10 2m Conditional Handicap Chase where the market is speaking positively in the favour of Larteta, supported from 3.39 into 2.789/5. Sarah Humphrey sends out her gelding today for the first time since July. He has only ever won one race under rules which is a concern, but, finished second in this same race a year ago off a 3lb lower mark. Romain Clavreul claims a valuable 8lb then it seems which looks sure to send Larteta off with a sterling chance. If Larteta runs to the same standard as he did in this race last year then he should take the world of beating.
