Lay Inis Meain in the Two to be Placed market in the 13:10 at Limerick @ 2.111/10
Back Our Duke each-way in the 13:55 at Leopardtown @ 7.26/1
Back Briery Belle to win in the 14:05 at Doncaster @ 2.56/4

We kick off proceedings in Limerick with their novice chase at 13:10, which is run over 2m6f. The horse we're taking on here is the Denis Hogan-trained Inis Meain. On his latest start our selection finished well down the field in a handicap hurdle at Navan, behind Jury Duty. Admittedly his two runs prior to that were decent displays when chasing home two good yardsticks in Jetstream Jack and Three Stars at Tipperary and Listowel respectively. That experience is likely to stand to him today but the horse has failed to get his head in front in just under two years and there doesn't seem to be much confidence in the market this morning - he's drifted out from 3.185/40 out to 4.47/2. The safest play and our recommended bet here would be to lay Inis Meain in the two to be placed market at his current trading price of 2.111/10.

For our each-way selection we're heading to Leopardstown for the Grade One Novice Chase at 13:55 which is being run over three miles. Our Duke is the one we're siding with, a horse which went into many peoples' notebooks this time last year when pushing the hugely talented Death Duty to within a length in a winner's bumper at Fairyhouse. Since then our selection went on to land a maiden hurdle at Leopardstown in January before disappointing in his final two starts of the year. Chasing was always going to be his game and he made a seamless transition to the larger obstacles when hacking up on his debut at Navan by 11 lengths earlier this month. The Oscar gelding is expected to come on for that run and we consider him good value to make the placings at his current price of 7.26/1 having been backed in from 8.615/2 this morning.

We're heading across the Irish Sea for our win selection which is coming from Doncaster in the 14:05 Listed Chase over two-and-a-half miles. Briery Belle signed off her campaign last season in good style when landing a listed handicap hurdle at Cheltenham impressively. Switched to fences this winter, the Henry Daly-trained mare has done little wrong in her two starts having won by six lengths and eight lengths respectively on both her starts. Getting weight off her main market principals today we make her the one to beat and recommend backing her at 2.56/4, which is still readily available. She has been as big as 3.211/5 this morning.
