Today's Follow the Money comes from the Thursday afternoon cards at Leicester and Catterick...
We start with our lay selection in the 12:35 at Leicester, where the Richard Hobson-trained Caprice D'Anglais has drifted from 1.9420/21 out to 2.226/5. The five-year-old has been in good form, winning at Hereford and then defying a penalty at Huntington on Boxing Day, but has paid the price for the latter victory, receiving 12lbs from the handicapper. With that extra weight and the presence of the smart Baraza, a full brother to the loveable front running Nacarat who makes his chasing debut, a lay is the call.
Our each-way selection comes in today's feature race, the North Yorkshire Grand National at Catterick, at 14:50, where the Sue Smith-trained Sraidnahanna has been backed in from 10.519/2 in to 7.87/1. Twice a winner around Catterick over staying trips, the eight-year-old has been dropped 5lbs for two indifferent performances this season when the odd jumping error let him down at crucial stages. If these mistakes are to be eradicated the mark of 132 looks fair and he's sure to go close for each-way players, at 7.87/1.
We finish with our back selection in the 15:40 at Leicester, where Top Ville Ben has been supported from 2.265/4 in to 1.991/1. An expensive purchase from the Irish point scene, the selection made a very impressive debut under rules at Ludlow before the New Year showing a nice change of gears in what looked a good quality bumper. The Nicky Henderson-trained five-year-olds appears a favourite that will be hard to beat and we recommend backing Top Ville Ben at his current trading price of 1.991/1 or better.
Lay Caprice D'Anglais @ 2.226/5 in the 12:35 at Leicester

Back Top Ville Ben @ 1.991/1 in the 15:40 at Leicester
