Follow The Money: Sunday backs and lays from the UK and Irish racing
Today's Follow the Money comes from the meetings at Galway, Market Rasen and Chester.
"Punters clearly believe Black Label could place or better in a competitive field."
The each-way back bet of the day is Black Label which has been the subject of a notable gamble in the 14:15 2m Handicap Hurdle at Galway, coming in from [18.24] to [8.0]. Ridden by Liam McKenna for the Adrian McGuinness yard, it's back to hurdles for the selection, and punters clearly believe Black Label could place or better in a competitive field.
Our back bet is Kelsey which runs in the 16:05 2m7f Handicap Hurdle at Market Rasen and has come in from [3.0] to [2.64]. Sold out of the Tom Lacey yard, Kelsey made a good start with Peter Bowen at Uttoxeter and with trainer's son Sean Bowen on board we believe Kelsey is fully deserving of its favourite tag today.
The lay bet is Lonely the Brave which runs in the 16:25 6f Conditional Stakes at Chester and has gone out from [2.50] to [2.94]. With Franny Norton aboard for the Mark Johnston stable, Lonely the Brave clearly has a good chance but we feel Super Julius has the best form and is the one to beat. Further encouragement comes from today's extra distance and we are happy to oppose Lonely the Brave this time around.
Back Black Label each-way @ [8.0] in the 14:15 at Galway
Back Kelsey @ [2.64] in the 16:05 at Market Rasen
