Today's Follow the Money recommends bets from the meetings at Newton Abbot, Ayr and Newbury.

Satellite, a well-bred William Haggas-trained gelding, looked an impressive winner here last month over the extended 1m5f. He’s on a 7lb higher mark for his effort but the market doesn’t think that’s going to stop him."

Back Satellite @ 2.89/5 in the 14:45 at Newbury

Other Bets
Lay Bantam @ 2.285/4 in the 13:50 at Newton Abbot
Back Sister Dude @ 8.07/1 in the 14:00 at Ayr

We start the day with Newton Abbot's opener, a Novice Hurdle due off at 13:50. Bantam has been drifting significantly this morning, opening at 1.715/7 he's now available at 2.285/4 with the market moving for Alan King's Precision Fire who now sits a clear second-favourite. The deteriorating ground and the 12lb penalty are question marks, but on form Bamtam is going to be hard to beat. Why the drift then? Precision Fire is a consistent performer, winning eight times on the flat i his career and on three occasions this year, and the yard is in fine form. The market thinks the handicapper has caught up with Bantam, so he is our lay of the day.

We head to Ayr for our first positive in their 14:00 Maiden Stakes. Irish 1000 Guineas entry, Sister Dude has been attracting support this morning trading as high as 17.4 for small money she's now available at 8.07/1. She ran better than the bare form suggests on debut at Haydock two weeks ago and is open to improvement here with the drop back in trip, to 7f, likely to help. Half-sister to 2-y-o useful winner up to 1m Hey Dude. Daniel Tudhope is booked to ride and the market thinks he'll add to his impressive 20% strike-rate here.

We conclude the day at Newbury with their 14:45 Handicap. Satellite has been backed off a cliff this morning from 4.47/2 in to 2.89/5 and, with more then half the money matched on this favourite at the time of writing, market confidence is clear. This well-bred William Haggas-trained gelding looked an impressive winner here last month over the extended 1m5f. He's on a 7lb higher mark for his effort but the market doesn't think that's going to stop him.
