Today's Follow The Money selections run at Thirsk and Newmarket.
"Time may prove Signed Sealed to be a very able performer but clearly he hasn't been lighting up the Newmarket gallops in the morning, or we'd have seen him on a racecourse sooner. He's drifted from 3.814/5 to 4.57/2."
Dagher has been backed from 4.47/2 in to 3.39/4 in the 14:50 at Thirsk. Peter Chapple-Hyam's colt has fewer miles on the clock than his rivals today, and if Paul Mulrennan can straighten out his tendency to hang, then Dagher could make light of his handicap mark.
Ecclestone has been solidly supported to land the big Thirsk sprint at 15:25. He's available at 7.06/1 from 9.28/1, not a huge contraction but almost half the money in the race has been traded on David O'Meara's charge. Last seen in the Great St Wilfrid Handicap at Ripon, where the field split and he was first home in his group, he won't be long in winning and it could be today. Eccelestone runs off the same mark today in what is a slightly easier race.
Over to Newmarket now, where Signed Sealed is the lay of the day in the 16:45 Maiden. Being a half-brother to Fencing, he's been made favourite for his belated debut but the expected market confidence is absent so far, with early interest centred on another making his debut, Swashbuckling. Time may prove Signed Sealed to be a very able performer but clearly he hasn't been lighting up the Newmarket gallops in the morning, or we'd have seen him on a racecourse sooner.
