Today's Follow The Money comes from the meetings at Fontwell, Worcester and Newmarket.
"After winning a maiden at Epsom back in June he has run well on his last two starts in nurseries and if there is a strong pace today then the George Baker-trained runner could be great each-way value at 10.09/1."
We start at Fontwell for a 2m5f Handicap Chase at 14:10 where Fergal Mael Duin has come in for strong market support this morning 6.86/1 in to 3.8514/5 on his first start for the Colin Tizzard yard. He goes well fresh and won this race last year off just 3lb lower. Although he can be a little temperamental at times, if his mind is on the job today then a repeat of last year look on the cards. He's our back of the day.
Over to Worcester for the 2m7f Handicap Chase at 14:20 where the Richard Johnson-ridden Ballydague Lady has been weak in the market drifting from 2.26/5 out to 3.7511/4. In what is a very competitive four horse race where a case could be made for the entire field, it's been the Neil Mulholland-trained runner that the market is rejecting. Beaten five lengths by Emerald Rose at Fakenham last November, they race again today on identical terms and with doubts over the ground and the trip she looks an obvious lay today.
Finally to Newmarket for a 7f Nursery at 14:30 where Tap Tap Boom may well feature in the shake-up if he continues to progress. After winning a maiden at Epsom back in June he has run well on his last two starts in nurseries and if there is a strong pace today then the George Baker-trained runner could be great each-way value at 10.09/1 having strengthened from a high of 14.36.
