Follow The Money: Three bets for Friday's racing at Warwick and Exeter

Paul Nicholls has his stable in good form - can Howlongisafoot land the FTM team a good win?
Paul Nicholls has his stable in good form - can Howlongisafoot land the FTM team a good win?

Today's Follow The Money comes from the meetings at Warwick and Exeter.

"With the yard in flying form, Howlongisafoot is being supported to resume his progression. With conditions to suit and Harry Cobden taking 7lb off we recommend backing him today."

Back Howlongisafoot @ 4.3310/3 in the 15:45 at Warwick

Other Recommended Bets
Lay Forgiving Glance @ 2.6813/8 in the 14:40 at Warwick
Back Alberobello each-way @ 7.87/1 in the 15:55 at Exeter

Our lay of the day runs at Warwick in the 2m Juvenile Hurdle at 14:40 where Forgiving Glance has drifted from a low of 2.0811/10 to a current price of 2.6813/8. Alan King's filly did not find the winners' enclosure from 11 starts on the flat and although she was second on her first two runs over hurdles the market does not seem to have forgiven her last start where she tailed off in a Grade 1 Juvenile Hurdle at Chepstow. Although this race represents an easier task the market drift is a real concern. The winner may well come from the Jonjo O'Neill trained Pillard or Warren Greatrex's Three Colours Red who have both received good market support.

We stay at Warwick for the 15:45 2m4f Handicap Chase where Howlongisafoot has been supported from 6.88 in to 4.3310/3. Pulled-up on his last start he was one of a number of Paul Nicholls horses to run under par in December. Now back from a break, and with the yard in flying form, Howlongisafoot is being supported to resume his progression. With conditions to suit and Harry Cobden taking 7lb off we recommend backing him today.

The 3m7f Handicap Chase over at Exeter at 15:55 is a very open affair where there has been an interesting market move for Alberobello, 9.49 in to 7.87/1. Jeremy Scott's gelding came back from a break with a respectable third at Chepstow three weeks ago even though both ground and trip were not ideal for him. Today's conditions and longer trip will be much more to his liking as both his wins have been over three miles. He's got a workable mark and Matt Griffiths takes another 3lb off so we feel an each way nibble at quarter the odds is a good bet.
