Today's Follow The Money comes from the meetings at York and Uttoxeter.
We start at Uttoxeter in the 13:55 Novice Hurdle for our lay of the day, in the form of Billy Biscuit who has drifted this morning from a low of 1.9620/21 to 2.6413/8. Alan King's point winner was tailed off on his hurdling debut and although he improved on this performance at Bangor last month there's no guarantee that was good enough to win today. The market preference would be for Tsar Alexandre who has been heavily backed and will be challenging for favouritism. The Warren Greatrex yard is in great form and there's every reason to believe his runner will beat the Biscuit.
Over to York where Aetna has attracted significant money in the 6f handicap at 14:15, in to 12.011/1 from an opening price of 16.015/1. If we listen to jockey Graham Gibbons and forgive her last run where she run flat and judge her on her previous win on soft ground at Newcastle then she has every chance on this step up to 6f, having previously won over 7f. She has a great draw in stall 20 and could run a big race at a juicy price.
The 6f Group 2 at 15:15 at York looks a hugely competitive sprint but some of the Follow The Money team are excited about the chances of Tim Easterby's Body And Soul. Having been supported in the market from 18.5 in to 15.014/1, she will love the ground and is a proven winner over course and distance having beaten Moviesta by a neck last June. She will be better for her run out at Nottingham on Saturday and could prove to be a nicely priced winner.
