Today's Follow The Money comes from Ayr and Stratford.
We kick off today's bets with our each-way selection which runs in the 15:20 at Stratford, a 2 mile handicap Hurdle. Instant Karma has been one of the best backed horses this morning coming in from an opening mark of [10.00] into [6.00]. This gelding has won over course and distance and also won three times over hurdles last year. If he can recapture some of this form he has certainly a big chance in this small field. With jockey Daniel Sansom taking a valuable 7lbs off in the saddle and the market move we think he will get us off to a good start.
We move on to our back selection and it comes in the 16:00 at Ayr, a 1 mile 5 furlong handicap. Ice Galley has been very well-supported this morning, coming from [7.4] in to [4.3]. This gelding hasn't been at his best in his latest few runs, but a combination of the drop down the weights and the booking of the very capable Graham Leesuggests he has a chance in this six-runner race.
Our lay selection comes in the very next race, the 16:30 at Ayr. Kharbetation has been weak in the market drifting from [3.25] out to [4.50]. He looked an excellent prospect last July when winning on his debut, beating a subsequent winner. He has not been seen on the track since, however, telling us he has had his problems, potentially with injury. In this tricky handicap he may need the run to get race fit while carrying top weight will hinder his chances too. We suggest laying him in the two to be placed market at [2.50].
