Today's Follow The Money highlights one selection from each of today's three meetings at Towcester, Taunton and Wolverhampton...
Starting in the 15:00 at Towcester with Cove who has steadily got her act together over hurdles, getting off the mark at the third attempt nine days ago at Fontwell. The market believes she can add to that victory today, her price shortening form a high of 8.07/1 in to 5.85/1. Collateral form lines suggest she is well-in here off a mark of 104 and her stable are in red-hot form with three winners from their last seven runners. The step up in trip should suit based on her placed effort in a point-to-point and everything indicates a big run today.
Our second back comes in the 15:50 at Taunton. Tresor De La Vie makes his handicap debut after some moderate efforts over hurdles. However the market believes he can do better today, he's currently trading at 4.94/1 from a high of 7.26/1 and on closer inspection there are plenty of reasons to expect an improved showing today. This point-to-point winner is switched to fences for his handicap debut and his stable are going much better now having struggled for most of the season. The increased emphasis on stamina should allow the selection to show his true colours in a race that won't take much winning.
Today's lay is Ferryview Place in the 17:40 at Wolverhampton who has dropped 15lb in his last five runs but not without good reason. He beat one rival home on his latest start and has been beaten a total of 79 lengths in those races. He represents the shrewd Ian Williams yard and as such the market is the best guide to his chances. Today the market says no - he has drifted from 3.17 out to 3.953/1 and with very little to recommend him we have to be against him. With a strong chance that he will run no race again today and only two places up for grabs, a To Be Placed lay at around 2.0621/20 could be the way to go.
