Noble Mission is being backed to win at the Curragh

On an exciting day of racing in England and Ireland the Follow The Money team have come up with three selections for you to consider at the Curragh, Fontwell, and Uttoxeter...

Recommended Bets

Lay Dakar Run @ 2.962/1 13:55 Uttoxeter

Back Noble Mission @ 2.8415/8 15:20 Curragh

Back Miss Sassypants @ 5.69/2 15:25 Fontwell

We start with our negative in the first race at Uttoxeter going off at 13:55. Dakar Run is the highest rated in the field and represents top connections (Jonjo O'Neill, A P McCoy and J P McManus). So what's not to like? In a nutshell he isn't sure to stay this 3m trip and he's drifted from 2.4529/20 out to 2.962/1. He's shown useful Bumper and Hurdle form up to 2m1f but was disappointing when stepped up to two and half miles at Doncaster and takes a further hike in trip here. The decision to make this move is respected but with doubts around it, and at the price, we will make him our lay of the day.

Following on from Joyeuse's success at Haydock yesterday, her half-brother Noble Mission bids to keep up the family name in the 15:20 at the Curragh. The market likes his chances, backed from 3.7511/4 in to 2.8415/8 and under conditions that are sure to suit he can reward his supporters. As a full brother to Frankel he always had his work cut out to live up to his billing and has been called some names in the past. However since making the running he has looked a much more straight-forward proposition, winning his last two races both on soft ground. He has dual Group One winner Magician to contend with here but that rival's best form is on a quick surface and he was less than impressive in his domestic reappearance victory. Noble Mission can take a notable scalp here.

Our second back comes in the 15:25 at Fontwell in the shape of Miss Sassypants who has been very well supported from 9.617/2 in to 5.69/2. She has plenty of ability winning two Bumper and running with credit in the Aintree Mares' Listed Bumper. She was disappointing on her hurdling debut where a bad mistake put paid to her chance but the market suggests she can put that behind her today in a winnable race. Her stable are in reasonable nick and after four starts her best days are ahead of her. She is a confident selection.
