Today's Follow the Money bets run at Lingfield and Sedgefield.
"Father and son team of Gary and Joshua Moore have a great record at Lingfield and look set to improve on this here. The market seems to agree, with Via Sundown being backed in from 3.711/4 to 2.77/4."
Support is thin on the ground for Ainsi Fideles this morning. Having opened at 1.9310/11 in betting on the 12:50 at Sedgefield, David Pipe's runner now trades at 2.6413/8. Having failed to land a win on his hurdle debut at Wetherby after being well supported, there may be one or two who have better claims today, especially Tim Easterby's Hawk High. With the trainer on a 0-8 record here recently we are siding with the market that this trend will continue and our recommendation is a lay.
In the 14:50 at Sedgefield, Overlaw should improve for his recent Kelso run and bids to make it four wins from five for trainer Stuart Coltherd and jockey Daragh Bourke. He has previously run well over both course and distance when off a higher mark. Having been nibbled at 7.46 he has now shortened to 5.59/2 so the market obviously feels that he could go close if in the mood.
Via Sundown has been well backed in the 15:00 at Lingfield. A winner in France on the flat and placed over fences he was travelling well before falling at the last on his chasing debut at Kempton recently and if he stays on his feet has the potential to win today. Father and son team of Gary and Joshua Moore have a great record at this track and look set to improve on this here. The market seems to agree, with Via Sundown being backed in from 3.711/4 to 2.77/4.
