Today's movers come from the meetings at Sandown and Lingfield...
Starting the day at Sandown in the 13.50 2m Handicap Chase, where we are seeing support now coming for Festive Affair, in to 6.05/1 from a high of 7.26/1. This gelding by Presenting has had a short but eventful career so far, tending to finish in the money or not finish at all, as he did on his last start when pulling up a beaten favourite at Cheltenham in November last year. However, Jonjo O'Neill's charge did show ability at Newbury back in January when winning a 2m1f Novices' Chase and also having Brick Red behind him in third. The market suggests that Festive Affair will be out to reconfirm that early promise he has shown with Newbury winning jockey A P McCoy back on board.
Heading to Lingfield for our negative in the 14.20 6f Handicap, where Gabrials Wawa has drifted out to 3.185/40 from a low of 1.910/11. Michael Squance's gelding has notched up three wins from 19 starts in his career so far, most recently on his last start over this course and distance a week ago. However, this five-year-old gelding only won by a neck and had today's rival Archibald Thorburn two lengths back in seventh, who is re-opposing on a 3lb better mark today, and is receiving noticeable market support. We suggest a lay of Gabrials Wawa today with a wide draw to contend with also.
We stay at Lingfield for our second positive, where we find strong support for Mindurownbusiness in the 14.55 1m Handicap, in to 3.711/4 from a high of 4.77/2. This four-year-old colt is having his first run today for the Roger Varian yard, and will be looking for his fourth win on his ninth start. Mindurownbusiness is also returning to the scene of his debut win and the market support suggests he is showing up well at home after a 114 day break.
