It's a Kempton special today with all three of the Follow The Money selections coming from the all-weather venue...
We start with our first positive in the 13:35 3m handicap hurdle. Alberobello has been backed in from 5.08 in to 3.052/1. After blowing away the cobwebs with a decent run at Exeter on his reappearance, the money suggests he can build on his second in this race last year off the same mark and get his head in front for the second time on ground that suits.
Our next pick is our second back in the 14:45 where Lord Landen has been very solidly supported in from 9.617/2 in to 5.39/2. The selection is a consistent performer over the larger obstacles (finishing in the first three on five out of eight Chase starts) and shaped really well on his reappearance, hitting the front three out before fading. With his preferred going and over his favoured trip we have reason to be confident.
Lastly we have our lay in the 15:15 where we are going to oppose Brother Tedd who has drifted out from 1.784/5 to 2.166/5 with over 75% of money traded on this selection. He is a course and distance winner on good to soft ground but he ran below par when encountering testing ground at Wincanton on his second start. He sets the standard on that win however we feel that there is enough doubt about his ability on more testing ground coupled with a challenging field. The main danger looks to be the Nicky Henderson trained, Barry Geraghty ridden, New Horizons, representing connections with a 37% strike rate at the course over the last five seasons.
