Today's follow the money comes from Leopardstown...
We start with the 15:05 where Sizing Chile has been on the drift from 2.26/5 out to 3.412/5 on his debut. He comes into the race with a good reputation and has been entered up in some useful race this last month ago, although he's reportedly not taken his chance due to the ground. He faces testing ground here and that may not be ideal and the trainer could be looking to get a run into him. It looks a good little race with Blackmail setting an excellent standard and Benemede looking a nice type for Noel Meade so perhaps the short odds on Sizing Chile are not worth the risk here.
The 15:35 provides our next bet where Rupert Lamb has been well supported for Willie Mullins. He has been matched at 4.06 but now trades at 3.185/40 on his third start back from injury. He jumped nice and safe last time and he came there travelling well but clearly didn't get the trip. This is backed up by his hurdles form where he could only win all out over 2 miles and he's back over the minimum trip today. They shouldn't go too quick today which will play to his strengths and Ruby being back up is always a positive.
Our final bet comes in the 16:05 where Competitive Edge looks very nicely handicapped and has been backed in from 9.28/1 to 6.25/1. He ran a nice race last time keeping on late. He's struggled with his jumping but appears to be getting the hang of that and his experience in the last race will stand him in good stead today. Tony McCoy takes over and the horse looks just the type to respond to his presence. He's 6lbs better off than his hurdles mark and surely has the scope to build on that and although the race looks competitive he looks worth taking a chance on.
