Today's movers come from the meetings at Doncaster and Musselburgh...
"Running on ground he's performed well on, the money suggests a big win could be in order for King of Jazz today."
We start the day at Doncaster for the first race there, the 13:20 6f Handicap. King Of Jazz has seen consistent support from 12.5 in to 7.413/2. Michael Bell's runner is returning from his winter break, back to the track where he recorded his only previous success. This five-year-old gelding also ran well on his only other start at this track in this race last year, both coming after a break, and he is down 9lbs from that race. Running on ground he's performed well on, the money suggests a big win could be in order today.
Heading over to Musselburgh for our second positive, Greeleys Love has seen strong support from 4.84 in to 3.1511/5 in the 15.35 Royal Mile. Mark Johnston's charge is having his first start for this yard and fifth career start having won a handicap last time out at Thirsk in September, for Kevin Ryan. Today sees a step up of a furlong which should suit, as this colt was staying on at the end having had trouble in-running at Thirsk. Greeleys Love is one of four runners for Johnston and the strong market move suggests he should be a cut above the rest.
Returning to Doncaster we find our negative of the day in the 15.40 1m2f Maiden Stakes, where Space Ship has drifted to 2.727/4 from a low of 2.35/4. This 3yo colt is having his fourth start having shown ability in his three runs, notching up a third and two fourths. John Gosden is giving Space Ship another chance to win his maiden at the course where he finish third, however he has been a beaten favourite on two of his starts and did appear to tire at the end of his last race so this step up in distance may not be in his favour. This is also his first start on soft ground, and with there being plenty of support for the second in the market, The Welsh Wizard, he looks one to oppose today.
