Today's Follow The Money movers come from the afternoon meetings at Ayr and Wolverhampton...
Our first mover can be found in the 14:30 Ayr, Breezolini has seen strong support in to 7.413/2 from 10.09/1 in this 5f Handicap and qualifier for the Betfair Scottish Sprint Series. This Bertolini mare's last win was in July last year over 5f at Doncaster on heavy going, since then her handicap mark has dropped 5lb, whilst showing average form on the track. With her last two starts being over 6f todays shorter trip looks a positive move combined with the ease in going, the money suggests Geoffrey Harker's charge could be gaining her fourth win today.
We stay at Ayr for our second positive of the day. In the 15.30 7f Handicap, Jessies Spirit is attracting steady support from a high of 8.25 in to 6.411/2. Ann Duffield's runner has notched up three wins from eight starts in her career so far, the latest being in a seller at Catterick on soft ground in May. Since then this four-year-old filly has shown only average form in her two subsequent runs on good to firm going, however, during this time her mark has dropped dramatically, from 78 on her last handicap start, to an all-time low of 62. With two of her wins being on easy going and the chance to now run in a Class 6 race, it's clear to see why the support is coming for her today.
Heading over to Wolverhampton for our negative of the day, Toughness Danon has drifted from 2.79 out to 4.3100/30 in the 16.45. This 7-year-old has been running in this country since April 2012 having previously raced in Germany and winning a Group 3 race at Baden-baden. Since running in this country, this gelding by Tiger Hill has struggled overall and is still looking for his second win. Most recently he showed his best form to date, finishing second at Wolverhampton over 2m in a Class 6 race. Although he is only having his second start for Ian Williams, he has gone up 2lb for that run, and his overall patchy form combined with this step up in class, suggests Toughness Danon is worth taking on today.
