The markets have been reviewed and the Follow The Money team have come up with these three selections from the meetings at Lingfield and Stratford...
We start at Lingfield, where we find our lay in the 13:50. Maraayill did nothing wrong on his second run, challenging and then finding no extra to finish second in a Warwick maiden. His trainer's form and number one draw are positive, however he's been easy to back this morning, drifting a full point to 3.814/5 and there are some interesting contenders against him today, the best backed being Roger Varian's Kafeel. For all that this expensive son of Sea The Stars seems to be improving with experience, he may just be found out near the finishing line.
Hurdle winner Danandy was expected to run well over fences last week and was backed accordingly, but his saddle slipped and he was pulled up. He's been backed again this morning from 10.519/2 in to 7.06/1 for the 15:10 Stratford. We hope he's going to show today that he's taking to jumping fences fluently, he'll need to to win this but signs encourage us to take the risk.
Best backed horse today is Horsted Keynes in the 14:20 but odds of 2.01/1 seem short enough so we'll pass over him to get to Tempest Fugit, who contests an interesting listed race at 15:20. Trainer John Gosden has two in this race but Tempest Fugit is much preferred in the betting, having been backed from 9.89/1 in to 6.611/2. Among the opposition is Banoffee, who was fancied for the Oaks and Lady Cecil's Phaenomena, who steps up in distance but Tempest Fugit has her own claims to this race, as she won it last year. Forget her last run where she dwelt in the stalls and got left, which is always an almost insurmountable handicap at Chester.
