Today's Follow The Money movers come from the meetings at Nottingham and Punchestown...

"Elsie wasn't disgraced behind the mighty Champagne Fever a while back and returned from a layoff recently with a decent effort at Tipperary."

We start at Nottingham where Le Chat Dor has been well supported into 9.08/1 from 12.011/1 for the 1m Handicap at 14:00. Michael Dods' 5 year-old has hit new heights this term most notably when ploughing through the mud at Ayr to score in a higher grade then this. His latest effort, when only 6th back at Ayr, running off today's mark, reads less well but can be discounted as he was crowded out at a crucial stage when about to make his move. Amulet has won her last two and looks a worthy favorite but the market support behind Le Chat Dor suggest he can at least outrun his odds in optimum conditions.

Over in Ireland Morning Assembly has been worryingly weak in the betting, drifting out to 3.8514/5 from 3.39/4, for the 15:10 2m4f Beginners Chase. In April Pat Fahy's 6 year-old capped a promising season with a Grade 1 novice hurdle win at the Punchestown Festival and the booking of Ruby Walsh for the ride today is obviously eye-catching. However the form of that Festival success does not look anything special and this looks a highly competitive affair, where a convincing case can be made for half the runners. Morning Assembly is one of several exciting prospects making their debut over fences this afternoon so it does not make sense to take a short price on anything with so many unknown factors at play.

The final race on the Punchestown card at 16:15 is an intriguing little mares bumper featuring three classy types with winning form, but the one for money is Elsie from the Thomas Mullins yard, backed in to 4.47/2 from 5.95/1. The 6 year-old wasn't disgraced behind the mighty Champagne Fever a while back and returned from a layoff recently with a decent effort at Tipperary. Reports from connections indicate she has come on considerably from that run and can give her two shorter priced rivals something to think about in the kind of race where the market is often the best guide.
