Today's three Follow The Money selections come from the meetings at Leopardstown and Kelso...
We start at Leopardstown and in the 12:55 where Sea Light has drifted from 2.226/5 out to 2.56/4. Sea Light was an impressive winner at this track on Boxing Day and he looks to have a great chance of completing the hat-trick today as he's only carrying a 6lb penalty today. Trainer Charles Byrnes has mentioned he has concerns the ground might go against him with the amount of rain over the last few days and he also had quite a hard race only three days ago, so turning him out so quickly again is enough for us to oppose him today.
Our next selection comes from Kelso and is the 13:35 where Ballycool has been backed from 8.07/1 in to 5.04/1. The Lucinda Russell trained runner has made jumping errors in his three chase starts so far, although he did show some potential when finishing fourth over course and distance last month. He has won a point-to-point in testing conditions, so today's going should suit him and he receives weight off his market rivals, so if he can put in a better round of jumping we expect him to go close today.
The final pick for today is from Leopardstown and in the 15:35 where Fort Smith has been supported from 3.711/4 in to 2.486/4. He shaped with plenty of promise on his debut when he finished fifth in a maiden hurdle where he travelled strongly from the back of the field and stayed on well. It's interesting that trainer Gordon Elliott has now put him in a bumper after the hurdle race, but the stable won bumper races at this track on Thursday and Friday and the strong market support suggests Fort Smith can add another victory for the stable.
