Today's Follow The Money comes from Newmarket and Fontwell
"The forecast soft ground should not pose a problem on breeding with Fray's sire and dam both winning with soft in the going description."
We start the day at Newmarket for our first positive mover where solid support for Fray in the 14:30 has seen her price fall from 4.47/2 in to 3.1511/5. The Champs Elysees-filly ran green on her debut at HQ in September but punters feel she should be competitive today. The forecast soft ground should not pose a problem on breeding with her sire and dam both winning with soft in the going description. The opposition looks strong on paper but they have attracted little support and, if the market is correct, Roger Charlton's filly shouldn't be far away at the finish.
We go to Fontwell for our negative where Kind OF Easy has drifted from 2.89 out to 3.211/5 in the 14:50. The Kalanisi-gelding's last start was in February over today's course and distance and he looked beaten when blundering and unseating 3 out. Today's field looks more competitive than the races our selection has been tackling, and an obvious danger would be Fontwell specialist Double Chocolate who has been very well supported. Emma Lavelle and Aiden Coleman are enjoying purple patches at the moment with impressive strike rates, however, punters don't think that will continue today and a lay bet is advised.
We stay at Fontwell for our final mover, Simply A Legend who has been backed in from 12.5 in to 8.27/1 in the 15:25. Alan King's gelding had shown a good level of form in bumpers last term and is reportedly working well after the summer break. This looks a strong looking Novice contest for the track but there is not too much money about for the opposition and supporters of our selection have the talented Choc Thornton steering home their money.
