Welcome to Follow The Money, where today's selections can be found at Goodwood, Haydock and Wetherby.
Double Silver may find that a couple more suited to the trip out pace him today.
We start at Goodwood and in the 7f Handicap at 15:10 there has been good support for Primaeval who has come into 3.9 from an early 5.14/1. This James Fanshawe trained gelding has brought his good form of last season in to this one. Having finished a good second in Dubai in January he returned to these shores to record a good victory at Kempton in March. This looks a bit tougher and his best efforts have come on the all-weather but he has some decent form on grass and there should be more to come off his current mark of 92.
Next we go to Haydock and in the 1m4f Handicap at 17:15 the money has been coming for Braveheart Move who has more than halved in price from 24.023/1 into 11.010/1. This former Sir Mark Prescott inmate was fairly useful in his earlier days over this trip but his last win was in 2009 and after that victory he had an unsuccessful stint over hurdles. Now trained by Geoff Harker he has slipped to what could be an attractive mark and having put up a respectable effort on his seasonal reappearance he could be ready to strike now returned to his favoured trip.
Finally, we go to Wetherby where we find the day's negative in the shape of Double Silver who has eased in the market out to 3.55/2 from 2.466/4 in the 2m Maiden Hurdle at 17:40. This Fergal O'Brien inmate put up his best performance to date last time out when a decent second in Handicap company over 2m5f. The winner that day was well handicapped but the selection seemed a bit one paced and that could be an issue now dropped back to 2m as his pedigree suggest longer trips would suit and he may find a couple more suited to the trip out pace him today.
