Today's Follow The Money movers comes from Lingfield and York.
"Roger Charlton regards Rex Imperator as being near Listed class."
We start at York in their 14:00 sprint handicap in which Rex Imperator has been backed in to 5.79/2 from 9.517/2. Only a three-year-old, the selection is drawn 20 which is not normally considered positive over 5 furlongs. However, the drop back to 5f is more suitable as he did not last 6f last time out and the trainer Roger Charlton regards the horse as being near Listed class. Still lightly raced, he definitely looks worth another chance off this mark and looks set to get back to winning ways this afternoon.
In York's 14:30 Ebn Arab has been on the drift, now trading at 3.9 from an earlier 3.052/1. A winner on his only start, a course and distance maiden, the selection steps up in grade today. The form of that race has been boosted and he does warrant this raise in class. However, this race is very competitive with four out of the five runners holding winning claims and the selection may have to settle for minor honours today.
Finally we head over to Lingfield in the 17:05 handicap over 6f. Drift and Dream has been well backed here, now trading at 3.814/5 from 9.12. The 5yo mare has not won for two years, but consequently is 6lb lower than her last winning mark. She is drawn 10 against the rail and that should help, and she ran well last time out finishing a creditable second at Doncaster. If she retains that form she has a reasonable chance of winning today.
