The Follow The Money team provide another three selections based on who has been attracting the cash, today coming from the meetings at Ay and Newbury...
We kick things off with a drifter at Newbury in the 16:15 7f sprint. Despite remaining at the head of the market, favourite Lady Lara has proved easy to back, drifting from a low of 2.55 this morning to the currently available 2.982/1. Despite finishing third in last week's Group 2 May Hill at Doncaster the final placing was perhaps flattering, having come from off the pace and picked up a couple at the death without ever truly challenging.
Over to Ayr for our next selection in the 16:35 Handicap over a mile. Money has steadily come in all morning for the Jedd O'Keefe trained Dark Ocean which has been backed from a high of 7.413/2 into the current quote of 4.84/1. He comes to the race in reasonable form having been unlucky on his penultimate start finishing fifth after encountering significant trouble in running. Further more, in his last race he finished a creditable fourth of 15 in a competitive race and stayed on impressively in the final furlong. To further add to his case he finished ahead of market rival Ingleby Symphony and is fancied to dominate his rival again today.
We remain at Ayr for our final selection in the 17:10 which is also a one mile handicap. Selection Mash Potato from the in-form Michael Dods yard should have no problems defying his 6lb rise. The market agrees with the 4.216/5 available this morning long gone and 3.45 currently available. The selection scored impressively over 1m 2f at Newcastle and the drop in trip should hold no fear.
