Today's three Follow the Money selections comes from the meetings at Newbury and Musselburgh...
We start at Newbury and in the 13:30 where Chiberta King has been backed from 12.011/1 in to 8.415/2. This does look a very competitive race with all the top yards represented and a case could be made for a number of these, but we like the Andrew Balding trained runner Chiberta King. We know he is a decent stayer on the flat as he won the Queen Alexandra Stakes at Royal Ascot and finished fourth the Cesarewitch, so we feel he should be suited by the step up in trip to 3 miles. He has already won over hurdles at this track on soft ground and we feel he has the class to go close today.
Our next selection comes from Musselburgh and is the 14:20 where Swift Arrow has drifted from 2.8615/8 out to 4.57/2. The Donald McCain runner won over C&D last year and looks to be in good form after winning at Kelso earlier this month, the only negative is that he has been raised 4lb for that win and punters are happy to oppose him off top weight today.
The final pick for today is from Newbury and in the 15:15 where Caroles Spirit has been supported from 4.94/1 in to 2.962/1. She won on her hurdling debut last month for trainer Robert Walford where she travelled strongly throughout the race, jumped well and won by a neck without coming off the bridle. She has been well supported against a couple of rivals from the Nicholls and Henderson yard, but she does look an exciting prospect and we are happy to back her to make it two from two over hurdles today.
