Today's Follow The Money comes from Huntingdon, Fairyhouse and Redcar...
We start the day with a back Wom in the 15:10 Huntingdon. Returning to the scene of his last win a year ago, his one pound higher mark is effectively reversed by the claim of Conor Shoemark, and he's been hammered from 14.5 in to 5.79/2. His record shows a clear preference for today's faster ground, so best to ignore recent efforts and take the hint supplied by the positive market move. The last four of trainer Neil King's winners have been well-supported.
Thousand Stars is the lay of the day in the 15:15 Fairyhouse. There was plenty to like about his last performance at Aintree where he followed home Whisper and At Fishers Cross. Had a hard race though, and for all his toughness, he's been filling the places more often than winning these last three years, and his wins have come on soft ground. Since the trainer saddles two of the six opponents, his nemesis this time may be Get me Out Of Here, who came so close at Cheltenham. Layers priced them up with the same chance yesterday evening but clear preference is for Get Me Out Of Here, with Thousand Stars sliding out a point to 4.03/1.
Cape Of Hope started trading at 7.613/2 but has been steadily supported to a current 4.77/2 in the 17:05 at Redcar. Only seventh of eight last time where soft ground would certainly have been against this son of Cape Cross, today should see him rattle home over the Redcar seven furlong straight. It's a good competitive race but we're going to follow the money and take Cape of Hope to give able trainer D O'Meara his third win in five days.
