Today's movers come from Wolverhampton, Wincanton and Uttoxeter...
The Midlands provides us with the venue for our first mover today where a runner with happy memories of the track, course and distance winner Ela Gonda Mou, tries for a repeat performance at 15:30. The Where or When chestnut Mare didn't receive much assistance from the saddle last time out, when sent on too early at Nottingham (duly faded towards the end). Robert Winston has been booked today and the last time he was given steering duties the partnership did the business with some ease. The market move of 7.26/1 in to 4.216/5 suggests the combination can once again be a winning one.
Wincanton's 16:50 is a highly competitive handicap but one runner that sticks out as a magnet for backers this morning is Mighty Monty. Available at 30.029/1 for small money early, he has been solidly backed through the 20s and teens and is now as short as 11.010/1. The seven-year-old's overall race-record is respectable having been placed in a quarter of his starts so far. However, he'll need to step up on his last run when fading at the business end. The money suggests he's fitter today.
There has been a pretty extreme drift on Murfreesboro in the 17:10 at Uttoxeter this morning. The early birds who took odds of 1.738/11 and similar must be slightly annoyed as the selection now trades at 3.052/1. There are a couple of reasons to lay the nine-year-old on top of the market vibes. One is his love/hate relationship with Uttoxeter (in four runs at the course he's won once and been pulled up twice). Also, after winning last time out he got sold cheaply and makes his debut for a yard that might still be getting to know him.
