Lay Ultimate Warrior @ 3.65 Lingfield 14:30
Back Drive On @ 2.6213/8 Lingfield 16:05
Back Master Butcher @ 6.86/1 Ludlow 17:15

Starting with Lingfield's 14:30 Claiming Stakes at 14:30 in which Ultimate Warrior has drfited out to 3.65 from an earlier 2.89/5.

Formerly with Richard Hannon the selection seems to have lost his way after showing some early promise as a two-year-old. He showed little on debut for his new yard last time over this course and distance and now tries blinkers for the first time. He would be an obvious contender in this low grade if suddenly bouncing back to form but the market reflects no confidence of that happening today.

Later on at Lingfield Drive On has been heavily backed in the 6f Handicap at 16:05. He now trades at 2.6413/8 after previously being available at 3.29.

The selection is making a swift return to the track after losing out by a short head over the same course and distance on Saturday just gone. Therefore connections are obviously keen to capitalise on this mark having also seen him run well at Kempton off his current mark of 77. He also managed to win a Class 2 two-year-old handicap at the end of last year and looks open to more improvement. Eve Johnson Houghton's small stable sent out a winner last week and this looks to be a good opportunity for the yard to register another.

Finally to Ludlow where Master Butcher has been well supported into 6.86/1 from 11.010/1 for the closing 3m Maiden Hurdle at 17:15.

The seven-year-old ran well in defeat on soft ground at Bangor behind two horses who both went on to win again next time and trainer Rebecca Curtis has a decent record at this venue, boasting a strike rate of better than one in four. The selection steps up in trip here and should benefit from a greater test of stamina if his three mile heavy ground point win last year is anything to go by. His claiming rider takes off a helpful 10lb and market leader Regal Diamond has been easy to back this morning so Master Butcher is an interesting proposition at these odds.
