Follow The Money: Two eye-catching Girls to back today

Nigel Twiston-Davies sends Foxbridge out for a hat-trick attempt - but the FTM team don't fancy his chances

Today's Follow The Money movers come from meetings at Ffos Las and Market Rasen.

"Grimley Girl likes to get out in front and dominate and if given an easy lead could be difficult to peg back, while next in the betting Intent has plenty of questions to answer having not been seen since September."

Back Grimley Girl @ 3.02/1 in the 14:05 at Market Rasen

We start at Market Rasen where Grimley Girl has been steadily supported from 4.1 into 32/1 for the 2m1f Handicap Hurdle at 14:05. Since switching to Henry Oliver's stable last autumn this nine-year-old has found a new lease of life and hasn't been out of the first two in her last four races. That consistency has seen Grimley Girl rise up to a mark of 104 but that may not be enough to stop her. She was a game second last time at Ludlow off 101 and a reproduction of that form might be enough as this looks easier in a race restricted to her own sex. Grimley Girl likes to get out in front and dominate and if given an easy lead could be difficult to peg back, while next in the betting Intent has plenty of questions to answer having not been seen since September.

At Ffos Las there has been solid money for Macetown Gale, now trading at 5.39/2 from 6.611/2, in the 14:25 3m Novice Handicap Chase. Garvan Donnelly sends this seven-year-old over from Ireland and she looks a very intriguing contender on chase debut. She didn't set the world alight over hurdles, failing to register a win from seven attempts, but hinted at some potential over fences with a 3m point victory early this year and could be primed to make an impression back under rules. Favourite Candide has a chase already under her belt but bids to give away the best part of 2 stone to the selection and looks there to be taken on if the market is to be believed.

Finally, also at Ffos Las, Foxbridge has wandered out to a price of 3.711/4, after previously being available at 2.89/5, for the 3m1f Handicap Chase at 15:00. Nigel Twiston-Davies' nine-year-old is on a hat-trick at this course after a couple of wins last month over shorter trips. Those efforts were a marked improvement on what he was doing last year so the yard are clearly getting a good tune out of him at the moment. The gelding is proven on heavy ground, but then he has gone up over a stone now since the first of those victories and there are no guarantees he will be suited by today's gruelling step up in distance. The selection tried three miles once over hurdles and was virtually tailed off so the fear is that any stamina limitations could be exposed during this attritional contest. Rivals Cadeau George and As De Fer have both been strong in the market and look more reliable options in a race of this nature.
