Follow The Money: Serge is our friend at Ascot

Barry Geraghty rides our first bet of the day

Today Follow The Money focuses on the meetings at Ascot, Southwell and Uttoxeter.

"L'Ami Serge's form in France had been reasonable too and we expect a good run for our money on this Barry Geraghty-ridden, Nicky Henderson-trained hopeful."

Back L'Ami Serge @ 2.226/5 in the 13:55 at Ascot

Our first back of the day runs in the 13:55 at Ascot. L'Ami Serge has come in from 2.6813/8 to 2.226/5 and looks promising after winning well in his first British race at Newbury over the same two mile distance as today. His form in France had been reasonable too and we expect a good run for our money on this Barry Geraghty-ridden, Nicky Henderson-trained hopeful.

In the 14:45 at Southwell we find our lay of the day and it comes in the form of Pearl Blue who has been matched as low as 1.9520/21 but has moved out to 2.3611/8 on reasonable volume. Recently sold out of Chris Wall's yard to Jamie Osborne, the sprinter is being tried on the All Weather scene. Today's money suggests he will not score a win for his new yard.

Our final back of the day is Winged Crusader in the 14:55 at Uttoxeter. Winged Crusader has come in from 3.814/5 to 3.259/4 and this will be his second chase start after coming a good second at Leicester in a rather classier race than today's. Today's track conditions may well suit and we look to Ryan Hatch to bring this one home for the Twiston-Davies stable.
