Recommended Bets

Back Un Anjou @ 3.1511/5 in the 15:10 at Wincanton
Back Massinga @ 2.568/5 in the 16:20 at Curragh
Lay Bells n Banjos @ 3.02/1 in the 17:00 at Stratford

The first back of the day runs in the 15:10 2m Handicap Chase at Wincanton. Un Anjou has come in from 3.9 to 3.1511/5 and has Noel Fehily riding for the David Dennis yard. Two good wins last year led to increased weight this season but we feel this race offers Un Anjou the opportunity to add to a growing reputation.

Our second back of the day is Massinga in the 16:20 1m2f Listed stakes at the Curragh. Massinga has come in from 2.9215/8 to 2.568/5 and has won each of her last three races including a 1m4f Listed win at Cork earlier this month. Pat Smullen is on board for the Weld stable.

The lay of the day is Bells n Banjos in the 17:00 2m6f Novice Hurdle at Stratford. Warren Greatrex's runner has gone out from 2.6213/8 to 3.02/1. Gavin Sheehan is on board, and Bells n Banjos has a decent reputation on fast ground but we expect Carningli in particular will prove too strong this time around.
